I'm an ACE, NASM fundamentals, and American Red Cross CPR/AED certified Personal Trainer. I'm also certified as a "Oh Baby! Fitness Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Instructor". I've been training New York City's most influential people including celebrities, CEOs, TV & film producers, bankers, and more with my dynamic workouts for the past 17 years in NYC. My focus on positive motivation and increasing energy keeps my clients coming back for years.
WHAT I DO
I'm experienced in weight and resistance training for men and women with various goals including weight loss, gaining lean muscle mass (to raise your metabolism), functional training, stretching, myofascial release, and gaining strength and endurance. I have extensive experience in pre-natal and post-natal training, focusing on the pelvic floor and core strengthening. I incorporate Pilates, plyometrics, and yoga exercises in my training as well; an influence from my extensive dance background. Proper body alignment and correct form are my top priority to lessen risk of injury, and avoid excess strain on muscles and joints.
WHAT I'VE DONE
I am originally from Michigan, have 20 years dance experience (jazz, modern, ballet), hold a M.F.A. from The New School for Drama and a B.A. from WMU, dance minor. I was a W.I.T.S. (World Instructor Training Schools) instructor for the practical section of the personal trainer's certification exam. I have also studied Alexander Technique for 3 years, a method for maintaining the health and efficiency of the body by reeducating the muscular system as a means to achieve physical and mental well-being. I've also studied Allan Wayne Movement, a fusion of ballet, yoga, and emotional work.
